My art is driven by curiosity. Most recently I have been creating whimsical abstracts, mixed media explorations, surreal landscapes, and vibrant floral and microscopic-inspired imagery, often shifting between styles as a new idea captures my attention. I am fascinated by both the inner landscape of thoughts, emotions, and identity, and the connections that exist between people, communities, and the natural world.
Working primarily in acrylics and mixed media, I embrace experimentation and rarely stay in one creative lane for very long. New techniques, unexpected materials, and entirely unfamiliar topics frequently find their way into my brain and eventually into my studio. What begins as a simple question or fleeting idea often evolves into a new body of work.
Underlying my varied styles and subjects is a curiosity about what connects us: to ourselves, to one another, and to the natural world, along with a fascination for the interplay between simplicity and complexity, order and chaos, perfection and imperfection, and continuity and change.
When not creating, I teach creative technology for the Natick Public Schools, where I spend much of my day surrounded by screens. Art offers a welcome counterbalance, inviting me to slow down, make with my hands, and remain open to the potential of every moment.
